Programme Co-ordinator
Mr. Suresh Jangu is coordinating the Heinrich Böll Foundation’s programme on ‘Democracy and Conflict’ in India since 22 March 2010. The basic objectives of the programme being to further peace education and initiatives, conflict prevention and resolution through non-violent means and strengthening of respect for human rights, fundamentals of freedom and democratisation – not only in the fields of religious conflicts i.e. Hindu-Muslim conflict but also internally conflict ridden regions at the periphery of India i.e. the Northeast region, the Tibetans in exile in the South Asian region; with gender being a cross cutting concern in all fields.
He holds master's degree in ‘Geography’ from the Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi and M Phil degree from the Centre for International Politics, Organisation and Disarmament, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
