Dr. Jürgen Kropp, an expert on Climate Impact and Vulnerabilities at the renowned Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK), will make an audio-video presentation during the roundtable. Dr. Kropp is also a visiting Professor at the Mahidol University, Thailand. Presently, he is working on Climate Impacts: Global & Regional Adaptation Support Platform; and Climate change, spatial planning and territorial effects on regions and local economies.
Indo-German Forum of Parliamentarians (IGFP) in association with the Heinrich Böll Foundation is organizing a roundtable discussion over tea on "Impacts of Climate Change on India: Threats, Preparedness and Recommendations for an Adequate Adaptation Policy". The roundtable discussion will be a good opportunity to discuss the post-Copenhagen scenario with regard to adaptation policy alternatives with Dr. Kropp.
The roundtable takes place on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at 5:00 pm at the Senate Lounge, Claridges Hotel, 12 Aurangzeb Road, New Delhi.
